choose to believe

this movie is so freaking awesome holy hell!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED IT!!!
of course it doesn't beat the book, but the cast was so great and Andrew did a great job and omg. Saoirse was just perfect. Max and Jake and Boyd were perfect too. and Diane. and everyone. and the music. and the scenery. WOW.



(spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS SPOILERS DONT READ IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE!!!)
so I had three major issues (and some other small ones but those didn' make the movie less enjoyable soo...)
ahah first THE CHOKING SCENE WAS TERRRRRIBLE. it was like 'hey u alien do you mind if i try to choke u omg i actually can't ok bye'. i mean just what. whattttt. (but Jake u were awesome so no bad feelings)
second, the whole thing looked like it happened in, like.... two days or something? i wish wanda had changed her clothes sometimes. i know she had like two outfits in the book, the one she came in, and the one she got after (and then some new clothes at the end when she goes out of the cave) but it's a damn movie. it seemed fast.
third, i missed some of my favourite characters. i mean SUNNY?? i knew there will be no Sunny, but i still missed her. and Walter i did miss too. and Trudy, Geoffrey, Heidi, Sharon. Lily i only saw like ONCE? where was her romance with Wes? and also, where were all the story-telling, the memories of other planets? showing them would of course be difficult, but i wish Wanda had told more of her stories......

(i seem to complain a lot but still my ovaries are all over the place bc this was a great movie and i wanna watch it again)

so then some good stuff, Doc was also really good, and so was Jeb and Jamie, though Jamie seemed to young to me at first, he was excellent. and then Saoirse comes again because she played two roles and she rocked both of them. Emily Browning was also great, she was such a Wanda, gosh.

and wow the scenery. EPIC. the Seekers. the STORE omg i choked when i saw the store. Aaron and Brandt holy crap.

basically it was a really really good movie, still wish it was longer, or maybe filmed i two parts, dunno.

so have some Saoirse-verse Mel/Wanda. the one on the right is the original (that's Wanda, u can tell by her eyes), the other is just a reflection bc i couldn't draw Mel to look exactly the same. shaaame on me.

added some colors in gimp, etc etc.....
